- Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
- 24/7 crisis line and mobile response

Behavioral and developmental needs are often first identified in primary care. Early identification of developmental conditions is critical. Screening should be completed at Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) recommended intervals:
- Maternal Depression Screening: Birthing parent interview during newborn visits ages 1, 2, 4 and 6 months
- Developmental Screening: 9, 18, and 30 months
- Autism Spectrum Disorder Screening: 18 and 24 months
- Tobacco, Alcohol or Drug Use Assessment: Yearly ages 11-21
- Depression and Suicide Risk Screening: Yearly ages 11-21
Recommended tools to help you screen, act and refer confidentially:
- ASQ – Ages & Stages Questionnaire
- M-CHAT – Autism screening for toddlers
- PHQ-9, GAD-7, Vanderbilt – Mental health screeners
- DSM-5 Autism Criteria Checklist – for clinical reference
When and where to refer youth for specialty care:
- Ages 0–3 with developmental delays → Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS)
- Autism diagnosis or concern → Autism Treatment Assistance Program (ATAP)
- Consultation → Nevada Pediatric Access Line (PAL)
