Barrier Removal Fund (BRF) for Providers
Grant Opportunity to Improve Accessibility - Now Available to SilverSummit Providers
Improving Access to Care for All Members
At SilverSummit Healthplan, we believe medical care should be accessible to everyone. We work hard to meet the needs of our members, and that includes ensuring members can physically enter and use provider facilities with dignity.
We are proud to partner with the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL) to launch the Barrier Removal Fund (BRF). This program assists our providers in removing barriers to accessibility at their practices. Our goal is to increase the percentage of providers who meet federal and state disability access standards through targeted grant funding.
These funds create equal access to quality healthcare for members with disabilities and their companions.
Application Process
The deadline to request grant funds is due by 5:00 p.m. ET on March 20, 2026.
Determinations for grant awards will take approximately four months after the deadline. Please follow these steps to apply:
- Visit the NCIL website: Go to the National Council on Independent Living SilverSummit to access the application portal.
- Review the RFP: Download and read the Request for Proposal (RFP) document carefully to confirm your eligibility.
- Submit your application: If eligible, complete the Request for Proposal and submit it online before the stated deadline.
