Telemedicine (or telehealth) is a virtual care service with a network of licensed and trusted providers. It gives you 24-hour access to in-network providers for non-emergency health issues, at no cost to you.
How Is Using Telehealth Different From Going To My Other Doctor Visits?

Do I Have To Pay To Use Telehealth?
SilverSummit Healthplan members have access to Telehealth visits at no cost.

How Does A Telehealth Visit Work?
Telehealth is a virtual visit with an in-network doctor over the phone or via video chat. After you set up your account, you can schedule your visit. Then, you and your doctor will meet to discuss your health issue or questions.
Why Should I Use Telehealth?
Ease and safety — for you and for others. A normal doctor visit can take weeks or months to get into. Or you may not be able to find a provider near you who accepts your health insurance. A normal doctor visit also means leaving home. Plus, waiting in a waiting room where you may be exposed to sick people. Telehealth gives you access to anytime, anywhere care.
Can I Just Go to The Emergency Room (ER)?
ER visits should only be used for life-threatening injury or health issues. When you go to the ER for non-emergency issues, you take away care from those who need it more.
Can I Use Telehealth for Lab Work?
Not currently, but that may be a feature in the future.
How Can I Schedule a Telehealth Visit Right Now?
Use the links above to set up and activate your account. Once your account is ready, all you need to do is:

- Schedule your visit
- Resolve your health issue with a doctor through phone or video
Do I Need An Appointment?
You can request the soonest visit on demand or schedule one in advance for a day and a time that is best for you.
Can I Access Telehealth 24/7?
Yes! Telehealth visits can be scheduled at all hours, day or night. Limits apply for behavioral health services, which are open weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. PT
