I have over 25 years of experience in healthcare, advocating for providers in Northern Nevada and rural communities. By working closely with others, I help identify barriers to care, ensuring patients receive the support they need. Through these efforts, I strive to build and maintain sustainable relationships that benefit both providers and patients. My dedication to service, teamwork, and improving the quality of life is evident in all aspects of my work. I enjoy being in nature, exploring the Lake Tahoe Sierra mountains, hiking, biking, and kayaking. I enjoy gardening and spending time with my three adult children and 1 year old granddaughter Willow.

My background as an Operations Expert and Product Manager for high-level corporate initiatives at Anthem BCBS allows me to bring a unique, strategic approach to my role as a Senior Provider Engagement Network Specialist. I am dedicated to equipping our professional partners with the high-level support they deserve. With having over 18 years of healthcare experience, my knowledge is broad. I started working with the State of Nevada in Regulatory and Compliance for Healthcare Facilities and eventually moved forward into managing healthcare information, coding, and finally managing healthcare facilities as an Executive Director. I have worn many hats throughout my career in healthcare and have found that the most rewarding experiences have been assisting the providers, patients and residents of Northern Nevada with the utmost customer service and care. As a proud native Nevadan, I am excited to provide assistance and customer care for the Silver Summit Healthcare community here in Northern Nevada. In my spare time you can find me traveling to wild hot springs in the deserts of Northern Nevada, taking my children to their various extracurricular activities, attending various concerts with friends and family, or skiing in the high sierras.

I've worked in healthcare for several years in roles spanning behavioral health, clinical care coordination, and patient advocacy. I feel proud to work for a health plan that prioritizes compassion, collaboration, and community health. My passion for service has taken me from volunteering with children in Guatemala to supporting hurricane response efforts with FEMA, and those experiences continue to shape the empathy and connection I bring into provider relationships. I'm originally from the Pacific Northwest and have lived in a few places across the country, which sparked my love for travel and exploring new areas. When not working, you'll usually find me out on a trail with my dog, Lucy, watercolor painting, taking photos, or discovering small towns and hidden spots around Nevada. I'm excited to continue growing in this role and to support the providers and communities I serve.

With over 13 years of experience in the insurance industry, I have supported both members and providers in navigating the complexities of healthcare coverage. In my current role as a Senior Provider Network Specialist with SilverSummit Health Plan, I continue to expand my knowledge, strengthen provider partnerships, and grow professionally while contributing to the ongoing health needs of the communities we serve.

I am proud to be a product of an HBCU, Virginia State University. I have been in the healthcare industry for over 10 years now and have continued to learn so much over time. As a Las Vegas native, our healthcare community is forever changing, and being able to adapt is one of my strongest traits. Forming strong relationships with our partners is key to our organization to better serve our members. Having a focus on provider satisfaction, it is imperative that we strive to improve their experience every step of the way. One of my biggest passions is helping others and serving the community. Since 2015, I've worked in healthcare on both member and provider sides. I started as a Scheduler in Portland, Oregon, then moved to hospital front staff roles in Neurology and Heart/Lung Surgery at OHSU. After relocating to Reno, Nevada, I handled ER admitting and Digestive Health scheduling full-time post-COVID. Now in Las Vegas, I work in Provider Relations at Centene, previously in Quality. I'm a military brat (Air Force parents), a dog mom to Cookie, and enjoy movies, art, music, and spending time with family.

I graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration. Since then, I’ve worked in several roles – beginning my journey in utilization management, then hospital operations, and now provider relations. Working in the industry has taught me to appreciate the accessibility and delivery of quality healthcare in the United States. This growing appreciation continually inspires me to expand my knowledge and develop my skills in this space. In turn, I hope that this will aid me in giving back to my community by leaving a lasting impact. I believe more than anything that we should all advocate for each other. By working in healthcare, I know I can do just that.

I have been a Registered Nurse for over 10 years spending most of my career in Quality Improvement and Population Health Management developing innovative ways to improve cost and quality performance while building rapport with clinical staff. I have experiencewith Medicare contracts, HEDIS, Medicare Shared Savings Programs as well as Promoting Interoperability. I also hold a degree in interior design and in my spare time I enjoy designingand building furniture, DIY projects and spending time out in nature.
