What Kind of Help is Available?
A housing provider can work with you to create a personal plan and connect you to the right services, such as:
Providers can help you:
- Search for housing
- Fill out applications
- Talk to landlords
- Plan your move
Providers may be able to help cover move-in costs, such as:
- A security deposit
- First or last month’s rent
- Utility deposit or prior fees
This is a one-time benefit that must be approved before any payment is made.
Once you’re in your home, providers can:
- Check in with you
- Help with landlord problems
- Help with budgeting
- Connect you to community resources
Do I qualify?
You may qualify if you:
- Have SilverSummit Medicaid
- Are homeless or close to losing your housing
- Meet NV Medicaid HSS requirements
- You must have the ability to pay your on-going housing costs after moving in
Important Things to Know
- This benefit is optional and separate from your regular Medicaid coverage.
- It does not pay ongoing rent.
- If you’re denied, you can appeal or reapply every six months.
- Deposit help is a one-time lifetime benefit.
