Get Help With Housing 

We’re here to help you find and keep stable housing. This is an extra benefit available to eligible SilverSummit Medicaid Members.

What Kind of Help is Available?

A housing provider can work with you to create a personal plan and connect you to the right services, such as:

Providers can help you:

  • Search for housing
  • Fill out applications
  • Talk to landlords
  • Plan your move

Providers may be able to help cover move-in costs, such as:

  • A security deposit
  • First or last month’s rent
  • Utility deposit or prior fees

This is a one-time benefit that must be approved before any payment is made.

Once you’re in your home, providers can:

  • Check in with you
  • Help with landlord problems
  • Help with budgeting
  • Connect you to community resources

Do I qualify?

You may qualify if you:

  • Have SilverSummit Medicaid
  • Are homeless or close to losing your housing
  • Meet NV Medicaid HSS requirements
  • You must have the ability to pay your on-going housing costs after moving in

Important Things to Know

  • This benefit is optional and separate from your regular Medicaid coverage.
  • It does not pay ongoing rent.
  • If you’re denied, you can appeal or reapply every six months.
  • Deposit help is a one-time lifetime benefit.
